SWISSAID in

Kenya

Kenya is facing growing food insecurity due to recurrent droughts and climate-related shocks. The country’s heavy reliance on imported seeds weakens its food sovereignty, making farmer-managed seed systems increasingly essential. Building on its agroecological expertise and its partnership with the Seed Savers Network of Kenya, SWISSAID combines emergency response with long-term solutions to enable affected families to restore autonomous agricultural production and reduce their vulnerability to climate shocks.
