Deforestation and illegal mining are destroying the forests of El Bagre, Colombia – and depriving the local population of the means to feed themselves and build up their own income. Through a SWISSAID project aimed to promote local vanilla production, rural women can farm sustainably, protect their environment, and secure a reliable income.
